Kitui South Leaders Endorse Hon Dr. Rachael Kaki Nyamai To Run On a Jubilee Party Ticket Once Again

A section of leaders from Kitui South have endorsed MP Dr. Rachael Kaki Nyamai for re-election in the August 9th general election at her Mutomo home on Sunday.

At the same time, the leaders charged Dr. Nyamai to stick to her Jubilee Party, the vehicle through which she was elected to Parliament in 2017 as she seeks her third term in office.

They further declared their support to the Jubilee Party as the ruling political outfit continues to enter into working coalitions with other willing parties in readiness for the forthcoming general elections.

The Jubilee Party is led by president Uhuru Kenyatta and is a leading partner in the Azimio coalition which many political pundits believe is set to form the next government.

The leaders among them profesionals, religious leaders, members of the business community and other opinion leaders charged Dr. Nyamai to work closely with president Uhuru Kenyatta and other leaders in their quest for creation of the next government.
“We the local leaders now endorse you once again to seek re-election on a Jubilee Party ticket because it is through that party and its leadership that we were finally able to get this Kibwezi-Mutomo-Kitui Road which many of us had been waiting for since independence” Kitonyo Malaya, a delegate said.

Accepting the endorsement, Dr. Nyamai said she was hopeful of a win as she defends her seat for a third term in Parliament.

She said her campaign is buoyed by her track record of development since she was first elected to Parliament in 2013.

” I have served you well since you first sent me to Parliament in 2013. I am still strong and ready to continue serving you if you give me another opportunity” she declared.

Supported by the Jubilee government, Dr. Nyamai has been able to initiate life changing projects in her constituency to help rescue her people from poverty, starvation and water shortages.

Among the flagship projects Dr. Rachael Nyamai has implemented in Kitui South so far include the Kibwezi-Mutomo-Kitui Road, The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) Mutomo campus, Ikanga Teacher’s Training College, Ikutha Technical Training Institute and the South Eastern Kenya University (SEKU) Mutomo campus.

Others include the continued improvement of education standards in Kitui South through Issuance of bursaries to support needy children and support of infrastructure in schools through construction of new and renovation of existing structures.

She has also implemented other significant projects in the areas of administration and security among many others…
