“Nitafutieni Bwana Jamani!” Health CAS Mercy Mwangangi Pleads
Health CAS Mercy Mwangangi on Thursday excited residents of Migori County after making light comments, asking for a husband from the area.
Dr. Mwangangi was in Migori to oversee the official launch of the KMTC Awendo Campus, in a ceremony graced by ODM leader Raila Odinga.
The CAS soon after coyly underscored that the launching of the Awendo campus was not the only reason why she was part of Raila’s procession.
Nikija hapa na Baba, ameniahidi kuwa naeza pata bwana huku kwenu. Nipatieni bwana,” said Dr. Mwangangi much to the jubilation of the crowd that had gathered at the campus grounds.
Odinga made a stop at the newly launched campus as he continued his tour of Migori County soliciting voter support ahead of next year’s polls.
Speaking to area residents, the CAS lauded the launch of the new institution labeling it a game-changer that will positively affect the lives of youth in the area interested in training under various health disciplines.
Mwangangi also reminded Kenyans, not to dismiss Covid-19 by skipping vaccinations as this was the only proven way to keep the pandemic at bay.
“Corona is still a threat and it is important that we continue wearing our masks and social distancing. The vaccine is also important. We need to avail ourselves at medical centers to get the jabs,” she said.
