Wiper’s Dan Maanzo Says Dissolution of NASA Was a Big Mistake, Demands Reunion
Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka’s close ally Hon. Dan Maazo now claims that the dissolution of the National Super Alliance (NASA) was a mistake, and the principals should reunite ahead 2022 elections
Speaking to The Star, Maanzo said that the former Nasa principals must reunite if they want to form the government next year.
According to him, both Orange Democratic Movement leader Raila Odinga and One Kenya Alliance principals can not beat Deputy President William Ruto in the next elections unless they come together.
“ODM leader Raila Odinga on his own cannot go anywhere, OKA alone cannot go anywhere. They must work together,” he told the publication.
Maanzo claimed that Raila looks weaker without the help of the OKA principals and therefore should seek their support before it’s too late.
Nasa coalition brought in Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper), Musalia Mudavadi (ANC), Raila Odinga (ODM), and Moses Wetangula (Ford Kenya) ahead of the 2017 General Election. The principals, however, parted ways after the elections after mistrust and betrayal allegations rocked the coalition.
Calls are now emerging for the principals to reunite with MP Maanzo being the member of the OKA calling for the reunion.
A week ago, Kanu, a party within OKA, also revealed that there is a possibility of Raila Odinga and President Kenyatta joining the alliance.
“We have decided as OKA that we will now work with like-minded leaders. We will work with leaders who share the same ideologies as us. We are currently working on a unity pact with Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta,” Kanu leader Gideon Moi said.
